Happy new year. This year is a roots year. It is said to be an auspicious zodiac.
We are celebrating thirteenth year since our establishment. Last year, since the certification deadline of the accredited NPO of the National Tax Agency can be settled, we applied for recertification to Kanagawa Prefecture, and in July a new five – year certification was granted. We would like to further expand our support activities according to the purpose of accreditation.

Under such circumstances, Yokosuka city will celebrate the 110th anniversary of the municipal system, and the Yokosuka Industrial Vision 2011 has been created and implemented. After the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Yokosuka Steel Works and Shipyard two years ago, we will focus on growing fields that make better use of resources and characteristics to revitalize the city’s economy towards fiscal 2021. “Utilization of tourist resources such as historical sites” “Industry promotion measures such as invitation business development “, etc. are carried out. At the end of last year, we heard what the management of small and medium enterprises would expect from our Institute, while exchanging opinions with our corporate members.
It was that NPOs must also reform themselves in response to economic and social changes. It is difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises to hire young and competent people, because they feel doubt about job security with such enterprises. As the declining birthrate and the aging of the population is progressing, management of SMEs also said, “How can we continue the business in the future? How can we make the company reform in order to continue business with 30 years and 50 years?”. They are asking themselves every day and night. At the same time, They expressed their desire that our Institute will consider how to deal with such situation and with adhering to the ideals and vision of reform act accordingly. It was a valuable opinion to our Institute.
The international society and the world economy are becoming more chaotic and more complicated. How far we can respond to such a situation is a very important proposition, but in order to further enhance our support for small and medium-sized enterprises / small businesses, we continue trying to develop support activities from a new viewpoint with the support of various industrial organizations, universities, local government etc.
As a scale of activity, there are 25 corporate members and 27 individual members in our Institute. We value the communication between members, respecting the individuality of each member and acting happily with the zodiac signature year., We will hold personal exchange meetings and provide opportunities for exchange information at any time, so that the senior group will become more and more energetic.
