for new employees to a social welfare corporation

Training in “Business manner and communication techniques” for new employees was provided at “Seishinkai” of a social welfare corporation (Nagase, Yokosuka) for two days on August 11 and 18 by an instructor of Ms. Rieko Chiba who is a career consultant and senior managing director of TMC Co., Ltd. It was co-hosted by Yokosuka Industrial Promotion Foundation Corporation and our institute. The chairman of “Seishinkai” is Mr. Tohru Hamada who is also the chairman of Shonan Safety Glass Co., Ltd. of our corporate member.

40 people of child-supervising-instructors and nursery teachers from both “Shirakaba kodomono ie” of a foster home which opened on April 1 of this year as the second one in Yokosuka and “Shirakaba Beibi Homu” of an infant home being the first one in the city received the training. The participants were divided into two groups and given the training for 5hours in total. They were all young and aggressively but with enjoyment working on various role-plays instructed by Ms. Chiba with her good narrative skill of drawing belly laughs sometimes. Her style is characterized in a way of letting trainee learn by role-playing in addition to by listening to lectures.

This was the second one of the training for new employees co-hosted by Yokosuka Industrial Promotion Foundation and our institute. The chairman Hamada said “The training was favorably received by those young trainees, mostly because of demonstrating and role-playing included. We wish to provide the same training for employees hired next year, too. Our Institute would like to also recommend the same training to the other small- and medium-companies in Miura Peninsula area.
