The word “cluster” means a bunch of grapes, a flock of sheep, etc. and Dr. Michael Porter, an American economist, used the word in his book “On competition” to explain;
- a human network composed by a group of organizations and individuals of various kinds such as providers of final products or services, parts and components suppliers, universities and institutes of various kinds, distributors, financiers which have a geographically mutual relationship.
In recent years, in our country, it has been becoming common to call functional formation, which makes a chain of synergistic innovation possible, “Industrial Cluster“.
